Be Part of the Solution

We encourage you to talk to everyone you know—including your friends and family—about the very real risks and consequences of inaction. Each conversation on this subject is a step toward greater awareness, and awareness sparks action. This isn’t just about others—it affects us all, including you and the ones you love. Failing to act decisively and meaningfully, both individually and collectively, will impact every one of us in one way or another.

Critical Climate Tipping Points

We face three critical climate tipping points that are extremely vulnerable to irreversible change within just 1–5 years. If these tipping points are allowed to tip, the consequences will be devastating for our species:

  1. Permafrost Thawing (1–5 Years): Rising global temperatures are forcing vast areas of frozen ground to thaw, releasing enormous amounts of methane—a greenhouse gas far more potent than CO₂—potentially triggering runaway global warming.
  2. Coral Reef Ecosystem Collapse (1–5 Years): Our coral reefs, essential for marine biodiversity and coastal protection, are on the brink of collapse due to warming and acidifying oceans. Recent reports indicate that 84% of reefs have been impacted, marking the worst bleaching event in recorded history. Their loss would devastate marine life and dismantle the natural safeguards for millions of coastal communities.
  3. Loss of Arctic Sea Ice (1–5 Years): The rapid decline of Arctic sea ice creates a dangerous feedback loop—as reflective ice is replaced by dark ocean water, more heat is absorbed, accelerating global warming and radically altering weather patterns.

Beyond the Immediate Threats

While our immediate focus is on these three tipping points, we must also work to prevent other looming crises, including:

Humanity has never faced a greater challenge in our entire history. Yet, we have never been presented with a greater opportunity to come together—to set aside our differences, unite as a species, and redefine what it means to be human.

We are an ingenious species, capable of extraordinary achievements when we work collectively. For your fellow citizens, your friends, your family, and for yourself—the time to act is now. The stakes have never been higher.

If you work for a fossil fuel company, are a fossil fuel executive, or a fossil fuel country government official, we have devised a preliminary comprehensive strategy for the immediate transition to clean renewables without incurring significant short term revenues and profits drops. According to our analysis, it may be possible to complete a transition and see revenue and profits growth during that period. Moving forward, the opportunity exists for you to make more revenues and profits than you ever had via the fossil fuel economy. Learn more about our Transition Plan.

If you are unsure or do not know much about the clean renewable space, we address those concerns here.

The bottom line is that the fossil fuel industry has helped humanity evolve from horse and buggies to where we are today. People in your industry are heroes of humanity for enabling and supporting the many advancements our species has realized over the last hundred-plus years. The time is now for you—and those within your industry—to be heroic again by doing everything you can to immediately transition to clean renewables.

Doing so will not only work toward preventing very vulnerable (and potentially future vulnerable) climate tipping points from tipping, but it also potentially sets you and your company or nation up to thrive for generations to come. If these climate tipping points are allowed to tip, it will not only be devastating for humanity—it will be devastating for business, including the business you are in.

The only path to long-term survival—and to ensure that you and your company/nation thrive over the very long term—is for you to resume what you do best: lead; help humanity prevent catastrophe and, while doing so, set your people, country, company, and yourself up to thrive for the next 100 years.
